This week i did not turn up as i had early training and i had to go.

Week 8 & 9 reflection - Chan Chin Kiat

This two weeks we had exams and were held up. We hope that we can catch up our work and research.

Week 7 reflection - Chan Chin Kiat

This week we learned about how to do the survey. We were taught how to come up with questions for the survey if we are going to do it as our work. Surveys will help us as it gives us ideas about what people think about the topic.

Week 10 Reflections - Japheth

I did not know that there was ipw as the week 8 & 9 did not have so i thought week 10 also don't have. I also had to go out for a appointment at 2pm.

Week 10 Reflections - Boven Wong

As Girvan has mentioned, only the two of us showed up this week, we decided not to do the survey due to this as the decisions/opinions of our other teamates were equally important. 

Week 4 & 5 Reflections - Boven Wong

(I realised I have not done week 4&5 reflections so i did them over the holidays) This week, me and Girvan worked on our subject of " natural disasters and how they affected the animal habitats", after our discussion, we shared our thoughs with our teamates Japeth and Chin Kiat

Week 10 Reflections - Girvan Chek

This week only two of us turned up for lessons. We were supposed to conduct our survey but we chose not to do. So instead we took the time to do things that we have not done. The other group did survey and Mr Wu concentrated more on them while he left us to do our own stuff. Its the last week and we are going to have our holidays soon, so we hope we can catch up more during the holidays.

Week 8 and 9 reflections - Girvan Chek

This two weeks is the exam period and no lessons were held. Instead we were asked to do our own planning and catch up on things we have not done. We were very busy studying and we did not have time to gather to do some touching up. We hope to catch up and prepare for week 10.

Week 7 Reflections - Girvan Chek

This week we had a lesson on surveys and how to do them. Mr Wu thought us how to phrase the questions in order to get our answers. Be it open-ended or closed-ended. However, we did not choose to do a survey as it will not help us in this project and also this topic was hard to do a survey. Surveys are good because we can get to know how other people think and their opinions. This lesson was fruitful although we are not applying it to our project but we can use it in our lives.

Week 6 reflection: Chan Chin Kiat

This week, we were told to plan our project groupwork as the CA1 are coming up and we might be quite busy with our study. So after the CA1, we would come back together and catch up the work we lacked behind.

Week 4&5 reflection: Chan Chin Kiat

This week, japheth and I were in one group so we went to research about "How does global warming affects animal habitats?" and found many information. We combined our information with Girvan and Boven's group.

Week 3 reflection: Chan Chin Kiat

In week3, we thought about guiding question to support our information. We further split ourselves into 2group and 2person would do about animal habitats and the other 2 would do about global warming and others.

week 6 : reflection Japheth Ang

This week we were told on what to do on our presentation and how we are to do it. During class, we listened to Mr. Wu say what to do and not what to do in our work. We had to plan and schedule our projects. We had to come out with two different plans in a word document so that it will be easier to identity. We may not come back together as we have tests coming up.

Week 6 reflection:Boven Wong

This week, we have started our planning a schedule for the following weeks to come. With the CA1 nearing, our team will be abit busy and our project will probably be put on hold. However, we will continue work as soon as possible

Week 6 Reflections - Girvan Chek

Thie week we were told to plan and schedule our projects. We had to come up with plan A and Plan B in an word document so that we will be more orderly. We hope to know what we want and want to achieve and excel in this project.

Week 4 & 5 Reflection: Girvan Chek

This week, we thought more about the guiding questions and thought deeper to get more reliable answers. We used the internet to find information, pictures and more ideas to improve on our project. I did with Boven the question "How does natural disasters affect animal habitats?" and we came up with many answers pictures for the related question.

Week 3 Reflections - Girvan Chek

In week 3, we thought of guiding questions to enhance our ideas in our topic for this GRACE project. We used the internet and other sources to search for our information. We spent time to look through the powerpoint slides to give ourselves a better idea of what to do. We split ourselves into two groups to answer the two guiding questions that we came up with.

Week 4 & 5 Reflection: Japheth Ang

This week, we managed to find out more about our study that is on weather & animal habitats and dissected into groups( global warming and flooding etc.). We then split our group into pairs to distribute the work, that we were doing. We went to many sites to learn more about our chosen subject. We have already completed one question which is ," How does global warming affect animal habitats?" . We have many answers and pictures to answer the question that was given.

week 3 reflection : Japheth Ang

This week we had to plan out who did what and what to do, it was kind of tough as at first 2 of my team members could not get along. We soon engaged in our subjects that we are suppose to do in. We had an advantage as the rest of the groups were still working on which subject to choose. We had a enjoyable time in IPW class. 

Week 3 Reflections Boven Wong

This week, Mr. Wu asked us to come up with questions for our topic so we come up with 2, namely "how natural disasters affect anima habitats" and "how global warming affects animal habitats" and we were assigned to them by index 2(me)and 4, 1 and 3 respectively. We intend to discuss our questions here and plan for the upcoming nature reserve trip.

Hey All! As you know that we have chosen to do on WEATHER AND ANIMAL'S HABITATS, we will be visiting the sungei buloh nature reserve this Friday 23 January 2009. We will hope to find out as much possible to assist us in our project! See You!

Week 2 Reflections: Boven Wong

This week, we chose our project topic, after taking awhile to vote, "Weather and Animal Habitats"came out tops and we went with that. As Mr. Wu advised us to go to a reserve to check it out rather then depend on the internet, we have scheduled to go there next Friday.

Week 2 Reflections - Chan Chin Kiat

During week 2, we had many topics to choose from and everyone of us had different topics that we wanted. In the end, we decided to do on weather and animal habitats. We are also planning to go to the nature reserve park to do some research on animal habitats. As Mr Wu says going there ourselves is better than searching for information on the internet as we can really see and understand about them. We are going at the coming friday to find out more about animal habitats. 

Week 2 Reflections : Japheth Ang

This week, we thought of the number we wanted to choose for our IPW work. We then thought of ideas that we should do, like going to places to research on the subject we chose. We even thought of some main points about our subject. We referred to the power points about our IPW work and managed to get a bigger idea of what we were to do.

In week two, we started to choose a project idea for GRACE. We chose WEATHER AND ANIMAL'S HABITATS because we thought it would be interesting. We started to brainstorm on on ideas to put our point across. We also thought about how we were going to find information on how to do this project. With that, this was week two for us!

Week 2 - Knowing What We Have To Do

Week 1 Reflection : Chan Chin Kiat

This week, I found out what GRACE meant. I also got to know my GRACE teacher and he was very good. We had four members in a group and we were asked to do research and the project together. My group consisted of Girvan, Japheth, Boven and myself. We also did the group formation and a work sheet on it. I think GRACE should be very fun and I will look forward for more lessons on GRACE.

This week, I found out that my GRACE teacher was Mr Wu and my teammates were Girvan, Boven and Chan Chin Kiat. We were told all the general information on GRACE. I think GRACE is something we can learn from and excel in it. We also did our group formation and was asked to fill in a worksheet. I hope that we can do well.

Week 1 Reflections:Boven Wong

I was surprised to hear that i would be teaming up with classmates index 1,3 and 4(namely my order: Japeth, Chin Kiat and Girvan) as we are often grouped togeather for projects such as Biology, but nevertheless, i was happy as i trusted these 3 friends and i knew all were hardworking. I was also delighted to be introduced to our group teacher Mr.Wu. I believe all 4 of us will do our best and give it our all in this project!!!!

Week 1 Reflections : Girvan Chek

I am very happy that we have started on this GRACE project. On the first lesson we found out about all the general stuff we needed to know. We got to know our teacher, Mr Wu, and all my teammates, Boven, Japheth, Chin Kiat. We were then asked to fill in a worksheet which was our group formation. We named our team Science Busters and I was chosen to be the group leader. I hope to lead the team well and strive to a good result.
